well, i wouldn't call it piracy because i dont intend to spread the video. There are some english series and movies that i cant even think of getting from the place i belong to. If you tell me to download it, i don't even have a good broadband connection since there are no alternate to BSNL. in small towns of gujarat. Sometimes It takes hours to download a single movie in 2 Mbps plan.

Another reason is i dont wish to dedicate my only hard disc to dth. n 2 pendrives are not inough.

Thanks Mr. Vinay.. that should definately work but there must be some ways out. i m sure, There must be some genious technology brains, who knows how to deal.

In such case upgrade to a DVR. That is the only way. There is no other way out.

a dvr would be better option than this STB. For You get enough memory, can watch a channel and record another(which is not possible in HD STB 2222) and more important- need not pay the service charges of Rs 30 per month.

Bro its possible to watch one and record another in STB 2222.
Agreed that paying Rs.360 P.A to just record is not a profitable deal.

I would always prefer to own a DVR if I have requirement of recording. This USB recording isn't promising as we can record or watch at any point of time.

Agreed bro. DVR is the best for recording. But 2222 provide us an option for recording at a low investment.

Yes buddy. I have a entirely different requirement. I have some fixed programs which telecast when I am out or clashes with my wife's serial timings. So, I schedule everything I need to watch on recording and enjoy later on.

Just came across another Drawback:

-> When you set the reminder for a particular show, the pop up doesn't come few minutes before the show start.
Means there is no use of reminder.
I called the engineer and he said that its the problem of the software and everyone is facing that..!!!!

On pressing OK, no more channel list appears.
