Breaking News New SD & HD channels coming in July, Package Price & HD Access Fee to be increased

Hello Brothers,

Got info from my sources that new SD and HD channels are coming in July. Also &TV HD and &Pictures HD addition has been deliberately delayed. Now you will ask why so, well i will tell you the reason.

As Tata Sky wants to increase HD Access Fee so if they had added 4 HD chs and increased HD Access Fee to Rs. 150 then they would have faced ire from both Hindi Audience having lower packages and English+Hindi audience having higher packages.
So carefully they have come with a strategy that in July they will launch few new HD channels like SMS HD, Nat Ge Wild HD, &TV HD, &Pictures HD, History TV18 HD plus also include TEN Network Channels in lower packages thus giving TEN HD in those packs too, after launching these channels and may be few more they will increase prices. TLC HD and Animal Planet HD may also come

Lastly u may also see HD Access Fee go up to Rs. 150 and 10-20 Rs increase in base packages. In the time ahead we may even see diff HD Access Fee for lower end and upper end packages

No problem if they increase HDAF to 150 after 6 or 8 HD channels additions......

Sanjeev bro i ask to cc again about &HD channels and now they r saying they dont hav any info, they hav only info about SMS HD....

As long as most of the new HD channels comes in existing base packs, then increase in HD Access Fee might not look bad. But in present scenario I feel HD Access Fee of 125 Rs is on the higher side with very little HD channels in lower base packs
