Hmmm I agree too, they could have only launched a stable version when it was ready (or at least when they think it is ready).
But this sort of testing happens in software world, beta testing, where they distribute a version to a few intended customers, and get their feedback. Engineers sometimes can't test their products extensively. Usually they would ask people to sign up before testing, but since you can't choose by yourself they are choosing people out in random.
They could hire some really good engineers to do a better job like Tata Sky, but the truth is I am also not ready to pay the price TS charges for their service.

I think this method can be done to downgrade the STB SW.
U have to get a same STB with old SW and by using RS 232 Connector u can mannually downgrade the SW from the OLD SW STB to ur STB.
during early days i was used to downgrade ZENEGA STB of Dish TV mannually by using this method.
I dont know this works in D2H and other STBs.
Most likely the Technicians r using the same method for fixing SW issues [currupted SW in STB]

ts is somehow high charging but giving good service, if we cancel one movie in theatre per month that will be usable for ts as extra charge. . according to me this will be the final SW and mostly all users will get the same in days to come . else they will not update the new SW if they get a strong Feed back against this new SW.
Means they won't change anything in this update?
