Breaking News New software rolled out to enable recording !!

Hello Friends,
i got a speculative call from the contact center of D2h today evening stating that i should keep the STB switched on tomorrow i.e. 30th August between 6PM to 12 AM as they would be rolling out new software which would be updated in STB. The number from which i got the call was +91 124 4411080 (gurgaon number)
Did any one else got such call... or is d2h planning something on 1st Sep ... which is fortunately my B day too

you have to swich on stb.
Those have powercut or not at home willn't get software updaate.

well well the speculation just got true... just got a confirmation from other popular forum that the software update has been received by members. Unfortunately i was at my house since yesterday so do not know if my STB has received a update...
Recording facility activated ...so the call from customer care center was correct ... Cheers guys ...

No more a speculation, this morning I received an alert window on my TV screen. It said for improvement of functionality a software download is necessary.
Although when tried to initiate the download, the process stated an error after a 5% progress, "Table timed out".

P.S - Update error could be because of the clouds :tongue:

So by today evening we might all get updates ... so recording would be enabled with other cosmetic changes in interface... i know we need to activate recording and 4 GB pen drive would be required to record ...great news on a lovely saturday morning ..

The Data was removed y'day , so it may be the issue for error . cant say exactly
