There are quite a lot of changes, improvement UI wise, but also has a lot of room for improvements. The transition of information from one channel to another seemed faster than I used to face. But also the menu items, the carousel like selection leaves it's thumbnails lagging in it's previous menu item. This looks sad actually.
But overall nice and a warm update.
1. USB recording (finally) is here. Monthly price to be able use it and with a minimum of 4GB USB stick.
2. Dolby Digital Plus audio now routed through HDMI. And it is pretty awesome, relatively louder and crispier than SD(?) sound.
Pretty convincing in the surround mode too, just not sure if this sound is 5.1 output.
3. There is an option to turn on the subtitles [See pic.] But unsure of it's applicability. Can be found under Menu>Setup>Lang. Preferences>Subtitle>(On/Off) Not sure whether this was already there in the older box, but I tried it on channels which serves Subtitles but all those are embedded ones. Maybe in future we could see an use of it. Just hoping.
4. Font of your options have certainly reduced in size, and looks attractive.
There are few annoying things here and there, like when you are watching a channel with Dolby, and you change and come back...the sound restores to the normal one. Which is kind of a bummer.
