I am still waiting for the update. I got a call from them asking me whether I need a manual update, but I told them that I would be happy to go with the software that is stable and would like to get it when it is available for automatic download OTA.

Lag and boot time is still a concern, but not bothering me much

Manual Update is always safer and stable. If they are doing it FREE for you, then go for it buddy.

The one which engineers must be having with them would be stable enough.

DD via HDMI also available on old software download id 32.

Well bro...don't know abt version 36. but 32 is having DD and it's the stable version now, though 36 is later version but it is not stable and all STB comes with id 32 inbuilt. i've 2.1 system and i'm getting DD ...i can feel a lot of difference when i change audio to DD.
If you switch to DD sound (info + yellow button + side buttons) and you are having sound then it's DD...those who are not having DD are not getting sound while changing to DD output. and those versions are less than 32.
All having 32 version are getting DD sound you can check forums. if 36 have no DD output then complain CC for version 40 or 32.
40 version hangs i've experienced it so i won't recommend it.
