By the help of KBC, Sony becomes no.1 GEC for the first time. But I think they don't need first position, that's why they pulled the plug off KBC on next month. Sony itself knows it clearly after KBC, there TRP will be affected.
Bhai tujghe kuch samajh aata hai ya nahi? Do you understand the meaning of finite series? For these type of shows it's not channel who decides how many episodes. It is decided by the production house before even the shooting for the show starts. There goes a lot in these type of shows in the background. It's not like your Saas Bahu or your dance/music reality show.

I am wondering what will happen if KBC is on air for entire year.

Bachchan revived with kbc and kbc will be the end of his again if it goes on for months n months.
Remember in the year of 2000, when KBC was started on Star Plus, it was running for years, it was not a finite series. Although it was a great hit show for the channel.

Who?said it ran for years? It was a finite series even then. The second season came couple of years later. Get your facts before making claims. These kind of shows - KBC, Khatron or BIGG Boss cannot run indefinitely even if they bring TRP. The channel has to sacrifice.
The current season too was decided to be just 6 weeks series. It's coming to an end as per the plan.
But, the change of timing indicates that there is something wrong with the current season.
