14 killed, 20 injured in bus accident in Andhra Pradesh
Fourteen people died and 30 others received injuries as an APSRTC rural service bus fell into a valley on Penukonda-Madakasira road in Anantapur district on Wednesday. The bus was proceeding to Penukonda from Madakasira when it slipped into the valley 20 feet below. A majority of the victims are engineering students, who were proceeding to their college. The condition of eight students is said to be critical.
Senior officials and police rushed to the spot and took up relief and rescue operation. The driver of the APSRTC bus with registration number AP28Z 1053 lost control over the wheel while reportedly trying to avoid hitting an auto rickshaw. The toll is likely to go up, police said. The injured passengers have been admitted to hospitals in Anantapur, Penukonda and Bangalore. Chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu and leader of the opposition YS Jaganmohan Reddy expressed shock over the mishap. The bus was carrying about 60 passengers.

Class 3 student chokes to death while trying to copy stunt from cartoon series in Gwalior
A 9-year-old boy choked to death apparently trying to copy a suicide scene shown in a television programme at Gwalior district in Madhya Pradesh.
Police said the incident took place on Tuesday evening when the class 3 boy Mohit, a resident of Pintoo Park tried to copy stunt from one of his favourate cartoon series.
His father Pramod Mishra, a plumber by profession was out on work while his mother Deepika had gone out to buy vegetables leaving Mohit and daughter home.
