I feel they will keep 10 major channels in Mpeg2 and move the rest to Mpeg4, so that they dont repeat the earlier mistake of removing and adding channels for the time being (Short term - 6 months), post completion of exchange of STB's only in Mpeg4. (Long term - say 1 year).

So far so good regarding channels' shift to MPEG 4 compression but how people are responding to this act of Tata Sky. Are they exchanging their boxes at war footing speed?

they need, that why ts shift some channels on mpeg4 to boost replacement. When they said we not receiving some channels then, answer is you have to replace your stb with mpeg4 as free of cost.

Agreed but what you said SUNIEL is the strategy of TS what I want to know the ground reality...the result. Is the plan going on smoothly?

for ts there was no option and now for user there is no option. They are forced to change stb, otherwise cant see channels. Plan will go smoothly, because they are not charging for this . If tata sky suppose to provide replacement and take some charge then might been seen some hurdle in replacement but its free of cost so no issue for user.
