Nine coaches of the Delhi-bound Kaifiyat Express derailed in Auraiya district of Uttar Pradesh this morning, resulting in injuries to at least 21 people, in the second rail accident in the state in four days.

The train travelling from Azamgarh to Delhi collided with a dumper at around 2:50 am between Pata and Achhalda railway stations, a spokesperson for the North Central Railway (NCR) said.

One bogie of the train overturned due to impact of collision and some compartments jumped the rails between Acchalda and Pata railway stations after crossing Kanpur, Superintendent of Police Auraiya Sanjeev Tyagi said.

Why so many derailment in such short time? I can't help but think of human involvement in messing up the track.

The Delhi kanpur section sees movement of trains at an average 13mins during night and 19 mins during day. How do you expect maintenance. Operations department do not allow block to maintenance. Moreover there has been no new investment in Govt instead, reservation charges, cancellation, tatkal, premium fare have been increased. This is increased source of income.

Indian Railway needs maintainance. Huge maintainance. Safety is no where concern to anyone in railway. It's time to privatization of Indian Railway

No one care for human lives in India. That's the worst part. I was stranded in traffic today for VVIP movement. Hate these politicians and their mean ways

i hate this VVIP movement since childhood. always wish public to bash the moment minister reaches the spot. hope it happens sometime.
