Breaking News No Channel Addition on Tata Sky from GSAT-10 till 31st Dec 2012

Tata sky won't b adding channels from gsat10 for customers till 31st decemember. they have plans to start chs for customers from gsat10 from 1 st jan 2013,that too if all goes well. still 70 percent splitters r not removed and the main cause of concern is where there is multi dwelling unit. as withou 2 wires tata sky dvr customers won't bg able to get channels from dual polarity so tata sky is left red faced as to what to so. tata sky is not having records of customers who have splitters and is only changing splitters of those customers of whom they receive complaints for other issues
its a hard way for tata sky and this is all bcoz of their poor planning, had they been good planners they would have installed two cables right from day one for dvr's but they did not do it
another case of their poor planning is that they did not try to make a transition to mpeg 4 by giving mpeg 4 boxes from 2008 and they never added new sd chs in mpeg4 from 2010 after which they could have given schemes to mpeg 2 stb customers to get mpeg 4 stb
neither they tried getting new tps from st2 and beam hd chs from st2 and hd customers would have got those chs using mono block lnb
this all shows that they have dumb people running their team

all they want is more money and nothing else

so guys keep on dreaming and waiting

STRATEGY ON TRANSITION TO MPEG4 AND NEW SATELLITE


AS U KNOW TATA SKY BROUGHT THIS HD REVOLUTION AT AN AFFORDABLE COST WHEN OTHERS WERE CHARGING A BOMB FOR HD BOXES AS WELL AS CHANNELS. THE MAIN FOCUS OF GIVING HD AT LOW COST WAS TO GET MAX CUSTOMERS TO UPGRADE TO MPEG4 HIGHLY TECHNOLOGICALLY ADVANCED BOXES SO THAT THE BURDEN OF CHANGING OLD MPEG 2 BOXES IS LOWERED. TATA SKY MUST HAVE KEPT A TIME SPAN 18 MONTHS FOR THIS STRATEGY OF SHIFTING MAX CUSTOMERS TO HD OR HD DVR, THEN ITS UPTO CUSTOMER HE CAN TAKE HD PACK OR IF HE CHOOSES STANDARD CHANNELS HE CAN DO SO BUT PURPOSE OF SHIFTING MAX CUSTOMERS TO MPEG 4 BOXES WILL B SOLVED AS WELL AS CUSTOMERS WILL HAVE HIGH QUALITY BOXES WHICH R FUTURE READY.12 MONTHS OF THIS STRATEGY R OVER, 6 MONTHS R LEFT I GUESS AS PER MY UNDERSTANDING

NOW U WILL HAVE THE QUESTION WHAT ABOUT CHANNEL ADDITION TILL THEN. WELL BY OCTOBER OR NOVEMBER MID , TATA SKY SHOULD SHIFT ALL ITS HD CHANNELS AND IT SHOULD B AIRED FROM ST2 SATELLITE AS IT IS OPERATIONAL NOW, I HOPE TATA SKY SIGNS A DEAL WITH VIDEOCON FOR TAKING HD CHANNELS FROM THEM FOR HD CUSTOMERS AND HD CUSTOMERS CAN B GIVEN A MONOBLOCK LNB FOR RECEIVING CHANNELS FROM ST2 AS WELL AS INSAT 4A, THIS STRATEGIC DEAL WITH VIDEOCON D2H WILL B HIGHLY BENEFICIAL AS IT WOULD B POSSIBLE TO ADD MORE STANDARD CHANNELS ONCE HD TRANSPONDER IS FREED AS WELL AS MORE HD CHANNELS COULD B ADDED FROM ST2. THE TP FREED BY TATA SKY CAN B USED TO ADD 18 CHANNELS AS WELL AS ON OTHER 11 TP'S 2 CHANNELS PER TP CAN B ADDED ADDITIONALLY
NOW FROM DECEMBER STRATEGY FOR CUSTOMERS WHO R STILL LEFT ON OLD BOXES SHOULD B THAT THEY B WILLING TO PAY A LITTLE AND GET MPEG4 BOXES AT SPECIAL PRICES WITH SCHEMES ON PACKS OR IF NEED ARISE THEIR BOXES WILL B REPLACED FREE BUT FOCUS SHOULD B THAT TO REDUCE COST OF BURDEN TO TATA SKY AND SO SUCH CUSTOMERS SHOULD B LESS AS FAR AS POSSIBLE

now i suggest you another way to come out of this space crunch and that can be done only if u add all forth coming new channels in MPEG4 format which will help in adding double the amount of channels thaN what u can add in mpeg2, u can tell customers that all the channels added till now will continue to be available in mpeg2 but to further receive new channels customers need to buy mpeg4 stb's on which u can give customers good schemes to upgrade, this will help u in a great way to make a transition to mpeg4 which is the need of the hour as if u stay in mpeg2 technology, u will again land up in space crunch in few months as more and more hd channels get launched and each hd channel takes 4 times space of that of a normal channel.the first suggestion of getting new transponders on st2 and the second suggestion of adding all forth coming channels in mpeg4 will completely revamp ur policy and make all customers happy as they will get all their favorite channels

NOW HERE UR TEAM MIGHT B THINKING AS HOW WILL EACH BOX B CHANGED,HERE IS IT. IN MARCH WHEN NEW SATELLIE WILL START FOR TATA SKY, THEN I GUESS TATA SKY WILL HAVE MPEG4 DVB S2 TRABSMISSION WITH 20-26 TRANSONDERS OR EVEN MORE AND THOSE CUSTOMERS WHO R LEFT OUT AND THEY WILL CALL FOR REALLIGNMENT OR WHEN THEIR CHANCE COMES, THEIR BOXES WILL B REPLACED BY GIVING A SPECIAL HALF YEALR OR 3 MONTHS SCHEME OF PACKS AND AS TATA SKY WILL B GIVING MAX HD AND SD CHANNELS, NO CUSTOMER WOULD TELL THAT THEY WANT TO SHIFT AS ALREADY IN TERMS OF AFTERSALES ALMOST 99 PERCENT CUSTOMERS R HAPPY.

U CAN HAVE FULL FLEDGED DEAL OF TRANSPONDER SHARING WITH VIDEOCON D2H WHEREBY IF SUPPOSE U BOTH AIR 95 PERCENT CHANNELS TOGETHER THRU JOINT TRANSPONDERS FROM ST2 AND INSAT 4A. MONOBLOCK LNB'S CAN B GIVEN TO ALL CUSTOMERS TO RECEIVE THE CHANNELS FROM BOTH SATELLITES AS THEY R JUST 5 DEGREES APART. THIS IS NEED OF THE HOUR AS SPACE WILL B A SERIOUS CONSTRAINT NOW WITH NEW STANDARD AS WELL AS HD CHANNELS LAUNCHING. SHARING OF TRANSPONDERS WILL HELP AND BENEFIT BOTH COMPANY AND THE CUSTOMERS. THE DECISION ON IT SHOULD B TAKEN NOW BFORE ITS TOO LATE BCOZ IF IT IS NOT DONE THEN AGAIN A PROBLEM OF SPACE CRUNCH WILL ARISE. RIGHT NOW THE CUSTOMERS HAVE KEPT THEIR PATIENCE BUT AGAIN IF DUE TO LACK OF PLANNING A PROBLEM ARISES, THEY WILL SURELY MOVE OUT FROM TATA SKY

if u have written the mail in the same format i.e. all caps.. no one would even bother to read...

at first learn how to present things then only ppl would care to read and then would judge the merit of the suggestions n viability (irrespective of how excellent the suggestion may or may not be)

instead of sentences better make ur suggestion using pointers .. no need to explain everything in detail as such a long mail would result in losing interest..

if they are interested in listening they will revert back...

Actually. No doubt this guy has lots of ideas but his ways to convey is extremely dangerous. I am sure this mail of him too will be scrapped like rest all but I am double sure he will come defending here as citing himself as Premium Member :p
