While both Speedtest and TRAI Speed apps show 30-40mbps download and 3-4mbps upload, its taking me ages to reinstall the apps from Play store. My 16mbps Airtel broadband could do so in mins. Nay.. Play store with Jio was slower than Voda or Aircel 3G too. Hopefully, its an isolated issue.

When you freshly setup your phone there are many stuff that's downloaded in background like Google play store itself. Let the rom settle down and give the phone a restart then see if you see the same thing.

Bingo. Honestly jio join app is a superb call to avoid lousy OEM to push updates for VoLTE. They have just removed the need of VoLTE handset support with this.

Note yet. Hold tight. You are forgetting still apple is missing from the list. Or maybe apple Lenovo have some exclusive contract with airtel vodafone for device bundling. Just thinking aloud.

I need Xiaomi on the list. The people at Xiaomi India has no info about partnering with Jio. Hopefully it will be available soon.

You think they have any information whatsoever? They don't even have info on the product repair status. They do not have any system in place.
