Now one can opt for OPD cover as an ad on with the health policy

It means that now when one is opting for health insurance or renewal of their existing policy, he can opt for OPD cover ad on as well.

That's a nice addition. Can you shed more details? What is the amount that was added on your premium and what amount can you claim?

ok bro.

FIRST - It is mandatory for all health insurance companies but plans may differ.

SECOND - I know only about ICICI Lombard.

Insurance policy - 10 lacs
OPD cover - maximum of 1 % of ur health sum insured. so 1 % of 10 lacs = 10 K only which is maximum.
Claim - once in a year.
OPD amount - i.e. premium amount = 4500 rs. which is very costly for 10 k amount.

I checked with religare but they don't have such thing for the moment.
