OnePlus says goodbye to the invitation-only model. Commemorating the first anniversary of the OnePlus One smartphone, the company has announced that the phone will now sell under open sale. In other words, the phone, which was unveiled last year on April 23, will now be available without invites.
In India, the phone is exclusively available on e-commerce site Amazon.in and users can now buy it without obtaining an invite. It is available at the same price point as before - Rs 21,999 for the 64GB (Sandstone Black) model and Rs 18,999 for the 16GB (Silk White) model.
The phone was launched in India in December last year and was until now available via invites.
