The Samsung Family Hub Refrigerator takes a photo of its contents every time the door is closed so that consumers know what food is still in their fridge when they are shopping at the supermarket.
The fridge also connects to smartphone and tablet apps, allowing consumers to order groceries on the go.
You can even order groceries online from the fridge itself.

“This one lets you check, at the grocery store, whether you need milk. It also lets you register the products you put in there and scan their barcodes. This can be used for menu or recipe suggestions.”
The Family Hub Refrigerator will also launch with a MasterCard partnership in the United States and an app that will let users order groceries from the fridge screen.
Mr Lilly said the Samsung would hold talks with grocery providers to launch a similar service in Australia, where the fridge will launch in July.
The company has yet to set an Australian price for the smart fridge, but he said “it’s important to get it into a lot of homes so it won’t be priced out of reach”.
