Interstellar won the Oscar only for Best Visual Effectsstrange that interstellar not even got nominee best film,and best director category.
oscar and filmfare are same.we dont know in which basis they are giving the awards..either box office winners or critics acclaims.it is purely jury wish.I think Oscars means giving respect to those movies who are commercially failed, even Slumdog was biggest foolish thing ever made but headlined Oscar.![]()

as i said , there are different views, but it won for best visual effect. The jury might have considered human emotions and lives rather than sci fic.strange that interstellar not even got nominee best film,and best director category.
