I think Oscars means giving respect to those movies who are commercially failed, even Slumdog was biggest foolish thing ever made but headlined Oscar.

oscar and filmfare are same.we dont know in which basis they are giving the awards..either box office winners or critics acclaims.it is purely jury wish.
