HELP Outlook 2013 sync problem

What a relief. Finally got the solution after trying so many permutation and combination. Finally it comes out to be a easy and quick fix.
I changed the server protocol from IMAP to POP3. And now its working smoothly. No more sync issues and send / receive issue. Got all the mails from beginning . And all sync ended in just 30 mins. Now I have all inbox,sent folder mails in the outlook 2013.
So I think its a issue with IMAP in outlook 2013. It woks wonder with POP3.
So now enjoying office 2013 to the fullest.

But why were you using IMAP instead of POP

Thats good news; AnirbanF1, being a hard core user, it would be useful if you post some quick notes on its + and -ves including doc, ppt and outlook. Also, is there any upgrade offer for existing (old) 2010 users?

But why were you using IMAP instead of POP

My office server is maintained by a private firm. As per their recommendation, they asked all my office staffs to use IMAP protocal while setting up any email client. So we all use that only.
But after my problem 2 days back I decided to check with POP3 as I read lots of threads in the outlook community regarding IMAP after your suggestion.

Please check office.com/offer if you are eligible as they gave free upgrade to office 2010 users who activated office in a certain time frame.
