Panasonic has launched its first smartphone in India with Panasonic P51. The Android 4.2 Jellybean based phone gets 5 inch HD display (1280x720p) covered with scratch resistant Dragon tail glass, 1.2GHz quad core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and 4GB of inbuilt memory.
Panasonic is giving magnetic flip cover with the phone and a stylus. The P51 also comes with Note taking apps that take advantage of the stylus. Other features of the phone include 8 megapixel rear auto focus camera with Flash, 1.3 megapixel front camera with 720p video recording and a large 2500mAH battery.
While the phone has its numerous plus points like latest operating system, large battery, and overall good specifications along with a large sales, service and distribution network, the phone looks overpriced given that a similar product from Samsung with its Galaxy Win is selling for only Rs 16,900.
