EntMnt Xclusive Pictures of Tatasky "Technicolor" MPEG4 STB + Review

Now Tatasky is migrating to MPEG4 .They r now replacing MPEG2 STBs phase by phase .they r going to migrate Tamil, Telugu Malayalam channels to MPEG4 format very soon [Mostly from July 31st], Their 1st phase started to replace STBs . i am also having Tamil language as my 2nd Free regional pack in my subscription. so me too had a chance to get replaced.

Short Review →

Yesterday my MPEG2 STB has been replaced with MPEG4 STB. The quality of Channels ,audio is very good , The UI is really fast . channel changing time also quick . The EPG and theme is looking very attractive.
STB is very small in size . Length → 18.2 cm , Width → 10.4cm
The CAM is in the rear side of STB.

Draw back >
Half part of VC is out side and with out any protection of covering , this makes voulnerable for Dust and insects which might go inside of CAM and STB as i feel.
They should strongly think of launching mini VC .
STB is having A/V connections only. they might have added Componant option too . now a days most TVs having Componant connections.

Sir,airtel huwaei sd stb are even smaller than this box.also half of the viewing card lies out side.

VC sticking outside is really a BAD feature. However nice review in short you care to highlight both pros and cons of the stb. Liked it.

even in rdtv and adtv, the smart card is partially visible as the stb size is small.

i also have airtel huwaei stb, its light than ts stb , size is almost same but airtel provide main key in front of stb.

Those DTH ops missed of thinking about Mini VC . Atleast they might had started for new Connections few year earlier. then these thing surely not happen .
