It is good to see that Tatasky is moving to MPEG-4 technology. If we take new connection now, they provide with mpeg4 box and also what are the channels that are in pipeline after mpeg4 transmission. and also i need to know about the new connection price, package and also eager to know about signal strength in rainy season bcoz i have not used tatasky. Please post your reviews.

Although i have not such information about TS like Mr.Bhat SUNIEL Shubham

But i can say this because i am also a user of Tatasky.

TS after sale services & Hardware quality are are good comparatively to other DTHs.

Package pricing is little bit on higher as compare to their channels count.

They are missing some good SD and HD channels only because of tp space issue.

Keep an eye on this before purchasing TS.

I think seniors can also portray picture of TS on this.

All channels will be migrated in mpeg4 after replacement of all stb. It is expected in may june next year. So almost all channels will be added which is present on other dth.

Wrt to Tamil Channels - TS wants to add Zee Tamil, Discovery Tamil and Captain TV...Angel TV might come in Full screen ...

Now Tatasky is migrating to MPEG4 .They r now replacing MPEG2 STBs phase by phase .they r going to migrate Tamil, Telugu Malayalam channels to MPEG4 format very soon [Mostly from July 31st], Their 1st phase started to replace STBs . i am also having Tamil language as my 2nd Free regional pack in my subscription. so me too had a chance to get replaced.

Short Review →

Yesterday my MPEG2 STB has been replaced with MPEG4 STB. The quality of Channels ,audio is very good , The UI is really fast . channel changing time also quick . The EPG and theme is looking very attractive.
STB is very small in size . Length → 18.2 cm , Width → 10.4cm
The CAM is in the rear side of STB.

Draw back >
Half part of VC is out side and with out any protection of covering , this makes voulnerable for Dust and insects which might go inside of CAM and STB as i feel.
They should strongly think of launching mini VC .
STB is having A/V connections only. they might have added Componant option too . now a days most TVs having Componant connections.

Actually I saw so many improvements in picture clarity of TS in recent days. Even in Tamil Channels the Pixel & Blur rate has been reduced. Hope they come back with a bang
