Aamir Khan's PK tax free in Uttar Pradesh

Amidst row and demonstrations over Aamir Khan-starrer 'PK', the government of the northern Indian state Uttar Pradesh has decided to exempt the movie from entertainment tax.

"Chief Minister Akilesh Yadav has watched the movie and has directed that such films should be exempted from the entertainment tax," a senior officer said here. The portrayal of Hindu sentiments in the movie has evoked criticism across the state.

may be the only state where PK is made tax free......hope some others follow......

When the movie has made lot of money to the producers, PK producers will not have any problems in apologizing

But if PK producers are ready to apologize that may mean there is something which is hurting religious sentiments for which they are accepting......?
If so then apology may be used in court cases against PK producers....?

UP CM 'downloads' PK, lands in piracy row

An inadvertent slip by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav while declaring Bollywood hit PK as tax free has not only earned him criticism on the social media but a social activist has also moved an application for lodging an FIR, accusing him of piracy.

"People had been telling me for many days to watch PK. I downloaded it a few days ago, but only found the time to watch it last night. I liked it immediately and decided to make it tax-free so that more people can watch it," Yadav had said while declaring the film as tax free during a press conference on Wednesday.

The chief minister's office also took to Twitter to react to the controversy. "[HASHTAG]#UPCM[/HASHTAG] [HASHTAG]#Akhileshyadav[/HASHTAG] has licensed @UFOMoviez digifacility to download & watch movies. Controversy around pirated download is unwarranted (sic)," said the tweet.

CM AY downloaded PK is OK but tweeting personal things might turned on him and then even Producers will not appreciate his decisions weather he makes Movie Tax Free or Total Free

Why would he download movie ? he can easily present proof of tickets from any cinema hall. So. i don;t think this news will make any further impact than a masala anews.
