HELP Planning to buy 5.1 Home Theater for my TS HD+

Guys i am planning to buy a 5.1 home theater for my TS HD+...

I went to a showroom and checked with a person...he told me that Philips 5.1 home theater which costs about Rs.4000 will not be able to give 5.1 surround sound effect as it does not have coxial cable facility...he also added that in order to enjoy TS HD+ 5.1 effect we have to buy a home theater which has coxial cable input in the home theater....

can some clarify on this to me...

I have a Philips 5.1 HT system. Its a waste of money. I also bought it for Rs. 4000.
Sound Quality is very poor. It doesn't have Co-Axial or HDMI port. So you can not enjoy digital dolby sound.
Its remote is also very basic with very limited functionality.
So I will never suggest to buy Philips HT system of this price range...

check HT system with coaxial or optical or HDMI in.
or go with Bluray system with HT 5.1 or 7.1 or 9.1

You can get price range about 15k above. onkyo and Phillips brands HT systems are cheap with amplifier with coaxial output or optical output.

OMG ...i thought of buying it for less than 6K...its our of my budget....so if i need to use home theater with TS HD+...i need to get a home theater which has got coxial cable rather than having 5 jacks such as front speaker, center speaker etc...

Yes..Because if you will buy a normal HTS.. You will not get the quality sound.
Only thing you will get is Loud sound nothing else..Better you wait and buy a good HTS. I am regretting after buying a simple Philips HTS.

You can do one thing.You can buy a 5.1 or 7.1 decoder and add it with your existing HT.But I think this decoder price will be 7K plus.But I dont have personal experience about decoders so dont know how they will work.
