If they can earn revenue of Rs. 400 + cr. then who will release movie at TV ?
BTW except few movies maximum get sold after box office performance.

Depends on relationship, Bhat movies, YRF movies, Amitabh movies sold to SONY only for lifetime until and unless they sign a deal like KJo.

Actually these news coming in media is a publicity stunts by movie producers.before release the movie producers only will give this kind of news to media to generate curiosity on people.always these kinds of price is not correct and actual price they never reveal.coming to this 85cr deal,this amount is depends on movie collecting net amount.if the movie reach 400 cr in India then only channel will give 85 cr.if not depending on the net collection channel will give the money.it is the contract.

Infact ZEE bought Besharam and Barfi in whoopy price but once they failed in B.O. they cancelled the deal and repurchase them from open market.
Same fate was of Bombay Velvet but since FOX STAR even distributing movie tats a reason they didn't cancelled it otherwise the deal was also in cancel mode.
UTV may have quoted 85 cr. but since Amir Khan, Hirani and Vidhu Vinod Chopra having long depth partnership with SONY tats a reason they signed in a discounted amount.
Even YRF quoted 100 cr. for Dhoom 3 from SONY since STAR was offering 75 cr. but ultimately SONY bought it for 75 cr.
