Problem with airtel hd dvr

I have a hd dvr 500gb, but sometimes while recording or rewinding live tv I get a message "disk is powering up from energy saving mode please wait". Hence I cannot record any content or pause live tv until I restart the stb. Kindly let me know the solution....

Is it something to do with power saving mode for hard disk?
If yes then try disabling power saving for hard disk from the menu if available.

That's a weird thing. Check recording setting. you may find something related to power saving.

I can't find any settings related to power saving...
any hd dvr user? Mine dvr is having sw ver 504... it was updated a month ago since then im facing this issue....

Ok wrote an email to airtel yesterday and I got a call stating that there is a issue with the sw ver 504 and they have received few complaints from other dvr users who had updated to 504. And until new version is pushed the problem might persist.

Can we rollback to previous sw version thru any means?

Nope. But Airtel may update your box specially with new bug fixes.
