I have an DVR box. I want to know if I connect only 1 cable from the dish to the box will the box work? I know the recording feature will not work but If i do not want to use recording in that case will the box work with just one cable?

With one input you can watch and record one channel at a time.
Idiot airtel guy is saying box wont work with one cable. Moreover I have a LNB for 4 ports and If i use it to get 3 ports output will it have any problem? LNB was initially provided from airtel itself.
Installation guy is saying I will need 2 dish for 3 output. I am not at home and he is taking my mother on a ride with all this b***sh**.

On my D2H connection DVR works well on single cable.

One dish and three lnb ouptut is enough for a two stb if one is DVR and other is hd stb
For 3 ports usage, single Dish with 4 ports LNB is enough. No need to buy separate dish
Aviral Sangal bro, escalate this issue with ADTV higher officials. Don't agree to whatever Technician says
And Airtel DVR with single cable didnt work
