Question about Optical out of Airtel DTH HD+ box

Hi All,

I have a sony bravia KLV-24R402A TV with airtel DTH HD+ box made by Huawei.
I am planning to buy a soundbar HTL3140B/12 which supports optical input. and i see on by STB, there is an optical out option.
So is that port active or disabled?
how can I setup between my TV, soundbar and STB so that video and audio are independent of each other.

Optical port is enough for get Dolby digital sound from Adtv hd plus stb to ur sound bar,if ur sound bar has hdmi then it would be more good to get even dd plus audio too.

My concern is, if i connect soundbar via optical, and TV via HDMI, the sound will be coming from both TV and soundbar, isn't it?

Here are the specs of soundbar:

  • Rear Connections
    • AUX in
    • Digital coaxial in
    • Digital optical in
    • HDMI 1.4 output (ARC)

  • Sound System

    Dolby Digital
