HELP Question about TataSky HD Subscription

Hello Everyone,

Sorry if this question was already asked.

I'm currently using Videocon d2h. But now I'm thinking to buy another STB for mostly HD channels.

My primary requirements are Sports SD channels + All HD channels (Sports, Hindi Ent. + Movies, English Movies, Infotainment + Lifestyles).

I found DishTV FULL-ON HD pack can be added with any base pack of DishTV (Doesn't matter SD version of the HD is subscribed or not).

Is there any option like this available on TataSky? So far looks like getting access to HD channel requires the SD version of the channel must be subscribed and pay monthly HD fee. Or get the Platinum Pack.

What is the cheapest way to get All HD channels (Except regionals) + Sports SD in TataSky?

Miz No option in TS with all HD channels it s depends on SD package and need to pay HD access fee,

DON'T GO FOR TATA SKY
It is most expensive DTH you can you get.

Every month they bring ridiculous active services and HD "access" is for Rs175 but if you haven't subscribed to SD channel then it's HD channel will not work.
You can separately get HD channel without its SD counterpart but each channel will cost atleast Rs40(kids channels) and may go upto Rs75(ten hd).
If you get annual pack with HD channels then it will cost you whopping Rs8550 and i believe airtel has annual pack for Rs5k.

Technoglitch thanks for your reply. can you give me a clear pricing page for their HD packs? Their website is bit messy. (They are missing travelXP HD, Natgeo Wild & People HD. Not a deal breaker but just for comparison)

Go For Airtel. That is one of the easiest decision, you could make.

Take 99 Base Plan, Add HD my Pack (225) & and you are almost done. That's what mine is.

But you also need SD Sports Channel, I don't know why, buy for that, u may have to add another add on, but then that will make your plan so Expensive.

But Airtel is the best bet yet. Thanks

Manu thanks for your reply. It's actually pretty much same as DishTV FULL-ON HD + Dish99. Isn't it? I need sports SD channel because when there 5-6 different live sports match is ON. they show some matches on SD channels. I don't have any budget limitation. I just want to have best value for money.

www.manojmanu99 thanks for your reply. I'm using d2h for almost 2 years. Using Platinum HD pack. But I think their STB build quality is poor and RF remote is painful sometimes. Also SD channel quality is poor too. I'm not sure after combining all this add ons it will cheaper than dishtv / adtv or not.
