That's the reason if dispute. We need to know what exactly is the contract.
What you are saying is right Anirudha bro...If he is talented then he is supposed to get work from anywhere on his merit...I didn't watch this show but i remember the eg. of Indian idol first season as even though Abhijeet sawant was winner & Amit sana was runner-up, Rahul vaidya got much attention & he reached greater heights than other 2..
But we are talking about breaching of contract...Its not easy easy to take on giant like Z group..He would have thought 100 time before approaching to police...

It's not that easy for anyone to go against a big corporate like Zee.He might have waited and counted pros and cons of filing a case.Not everyone goes to police or court at the spur of the moment.
And on the comment that he could have got recognition if he has talent, he was in contract with Zee and the fact remains that the contract was breached.There was a possibility that Zee would have dragged him to court if he had approached any other production house citing the contract he had signed with. Zee.
Point is you can't blame him alone, even Zee might be playing high handed.We need to analyse both the points.

But ZEE claimed that he didn't sign the contract and I think every big corporate use to sign exclusive contract like YRF signs 3 Movies contract similar TIPS and all that if ZEE having contract but didn't offer any Movie then he has all rights to go for a legal battle.
But if he didn't have any contract then he just doing publicity stunts. Because these reality won't decides your future any way. You earn from the show tats it.

as per his statement, film was to start but it delayed due to unknown reasons and he might not want to sign exclusive deal with zee other than a promised 1 film.
