As repeatedly said I too have got s/w update with DW-ID45 on my 2 HD STBs 2011.Not facing any major issues till now.brother's stb has same case.
we also know that all models are a bit in similar quality and don't fulfill our reqts.
Anyway good followup and deal of replacement I would say......!!!
Will it really satisfy to u again really question? as Recording, RF remote quality are still concerns-limitations.Nobody talks about usb Recording feature of all these HD STB models- has limitations of record one-n watch one from same TP only.

I am also facing same problems as mentioned by you specially after the s/w update...plus sometimes i noticed total blackout of channel for 3-4 seconds...& the channel changing time & boot time just sucks...It is good thing you are getting free replacement... if possible upload the mail..

HD stb: only one LNB cable input
HD DVR: Two input which allow you to watch either one channel while recording/two channels in simultaneous record
i assumed you would have known that since HD stbs have single lnb input hence during recording you could watch only from a particular tp unlike in HDDVRs where it have two inputs.
Dont go on whining the same thing over and over. i have already explained many times and be happy that atleast d2h allows you to watch other channels from same tp whereas other dths you cant watch other channel while on recording in HD stbs.

even hd stb 2222 has flaws but i have become used to it.
See I'm not defaming d2h here...I'm talking about only "Limitation" which you will come to know if you have used HD DVR only.
there is no need to spread again n again "LNB & 2 I/P theory" for STB & DVR technical functionality here "every time".we know it.
Each product has it's disadvantages which should overcome in future by any dth which will Only benefit to Customer and profit to DTH n keep sustained them in competition.
Other DTH lacking above record-watch functionality, that doesn't mean Videocon D2h shouldn't be "FUTURE READY" and keep themselves a PAR bit ahead from technology point of view for Longest duration.
People should get also "Value for Money form technology point of view" as well with "Advanced features" so that keeps them DTH too One step ahead to competitors.
In today's generation , Will you promote to watch ->> CRT Tvs OR only HD ready LCDs ->> rather than having "Full HD LCD-LEDs or Ultra HD-4K with 3D" offourse as per financial capacity of everyone

could you please specify which operator has HD stbs with PVR facility and on recording allows to watch other channels?
