RCom Reliance Communications cuts 3G data rates by 50%

Reliance Communications, India's third-biggest mobile phone carrier by customers, has cut the price of third-generation (3G) data services by half, Gurdeep Singh, head of the company's mobile business, said on Thursday.

3G data price now stands at Rs. 123 for 1 GB, Rs. 246 for 2 GB, and Rs. 492 for 4 GB, the company said in a release.

The offer will be available to both existing and new users in both pre-paid and post-paid segments, the statement added.
