Even sun direct is in red and even if rdtv sells its business to sun how can the latter will be able to grab the lost market in north india?

If you read the entire article , it tells that RDTV has been quite innovative, performing and successful throughout last 4 years. Everything got screwed in last one year.
If the deal goes quick, then SUN would be able to re capture market because its Transponder issue will be resolved.

i read it and found it to be exaggerated(not entirely)
reasons for drop in subscribers
1.lazy management
2.no customer's feedback is taken
3. Failure HD stb
4. No recent channel additions.
Although there has been one or two bulk channel additions and then it goes into hibernation,

But as per the article, their STB failure ratio is lowest across the world.

It has 5 stb types out of which stb 2 is failure.

Even the one at my home is not so good. Hardware wise it never gave any trouble but software is too sluggish and slow .

but I really doubt their success in North India after merger. I have seen the PQ on RDTV its really good.

it can be successful after the merger happens as it has ample space so that 500-600 Sd channels can be added.
