Update Reliance Jio to launch its 4G services in 2015

Reliance Industries Limited is all set to bring major revolution in telecommunication industry with its 4G data service called Reliance Jio. The much delayed Reliance Jio will provide its services from March 2015 reportedly.

According to a report by Credit
Suisse, 4G voice and data service will be launched on 15 March 2015. However,Reliance Jio had acquired the spectrum in 2010
for 4G services, but since then the programme has been delayed due to no clarity on telecom policy.


With the 4G services being rolled out, Reliance Jio DTH plan also gives you (will launch) set-top box (alongside) running on Android.

The service will also provide facilities like live television through “Jio Play” and video-on-
demand by “Jio World”. it is also reported that subscribers will also get 100 GB storage in the DTH for no cost. Another feature that will be rolled out is of providing wi-fi service.

The customer’s equipment will connect to the nearest Reliance mobile tower and provide wi-
fi service.

Every 3 months the date get extended and it's happening sinc last 2 years.

So, nothing concrete date of launch yet.

I thought they were to share network infrastructure with Bharti Airtel and other operators

Yes bro, its totally different tower and they r not going to launch like 3G which only available 2 or 3 city in one state in starting period, they r going to launch it in every district in first phase, here in u.p. i can see everywhere 4G tower.
