Thank You so much Indianmascot bro for sharing the full CAG Report on DTH and Satellite Capacity. The last page states that Tata Sky did not accept neither they refused allocation of GSAT10 Transponders. Chit bhi meri, patt bhi meri. Waah, re Tata Sky all through they were telling lies that they have not got TP's from GSAT10.

Why did not Tata Sky take TP's from GSAT10 and also complete MPEG4 Migration, this way they would have overcomed bandwidth crunch and also been safe from Power Less Insat 4A satellite but they did not do it.

Also its clear that Tata Sky is moving to a Foreign Satellite as they have lost hopes from ISRO as satellites r not launched on time and many do not work. So, now wait n watch very soon in 2015 Tata Sky will start migration to a Foreign Satellite which is great as they will not have to suffer bcoz of ISRO unless ofcourse if they again show no interest in adding bandwidth and sitting idle for years.

Tata Sky should have moved to Foreign Satellite long back instead of waiting for 4 years

It seems TS will prove your points after migrating to a foreign sat.

One thing is for sure, Dishtv worked out in a much smarter way & managed to get DD FD channels' signals while working on mpeg2 platform.

Blaming Isro is very simple amswer.

But fact remains clear that TS failed to manage the situation. May be it's not Nagpal's decision but certainly he is burdened by his predecessor's lack of vision in decision making.

TS could have moved to Gsat10 new TPs along with mpeg4 migration so that all problems would have resolved. It seems only problem is with money!

Yup. Tata Sky could have achieved hell lot of space if they have migrated to GSAT 10 with MPEG4. I am curious to know what their vision and plan is for future regarding Transponder space.

Yeah running MPEG 4 service at GSAT 10 will give them more advantage on technical aspect then keep working on Migration in Insat 4A is awful.

I have read the entire report and based on that I can say that its 60-40 mistake done by both DoS and Tata sky and now tata sky is suffering because of that had they used it before no question of space issue would have been arrived and by favouring tata sky to give them the desired slot made DoS the culprit under all eyes

Still so much confusion, according to report tata sky migrated on foreign satellite in july 2013 but in real after 18 month migration process is not started. It could be measat satellite if its measat then reliance and ts going to merge?

Too much confusion, now wait for official word from DOS
