Movies now airs a movie with min runtime of 2.5 hrs. Its useless channel and they dont air any premiers like other eng movie channels

You are again getting confused bhai. Producer and distributors are different. e.g Star is a Distributor and Fox is a producer. Reliance Entertainment is a Producer, YRF is a producer but their movies are distributed by Prime connect .Once Distribution right is sold, producer has nothing to do than to count money. Also Distribution rights are lot limited period now a days like 10 or 15 years.

i prefer MGM and TCM for old movies.

Yup.This is what I am trying to say.We can enjoy with these channels but most of the Indians doesn't know about these movies.One bad habbit in Indians they watch only what they know about them.

Nai Bhai , Its Moneybhai who decides the distribution rights.
Only those movies who don't get sold in Satellite rights are sold collectively with other such movies directly to channels.

Distribution rights are sold either only for theatrical or along with satellite rights.
bhaskarkilli is right, producer's wish to sell only theatrical or club with satellite. Its TV channel who buys from producers for limited time or no of time movie is aired.
