I am still unable to understand how they gonna overcome this technical limitations.

According to Venkatiesh they will automatically migrate to MPEG 4 boxes until 2017 as they're not in space constraints and I think gamble of ZING Digital is just to start the flowing of new MPEG 4 based boxes but they're lacking with DVR side last year they signed the USB DVR deal with Broadcom but still silence.
