Definitely. One more better option could be providing Update via USB. I have updated my Sony LED firmware via USB twice and its very very secure, smooth and fast.
Digital Service Provider too should upload Update file on their website and users can download and update the STB via USB Drives.

They r updating OTA in certain Frequency. that will remain for atleast few weeks. so once the Power comes then the STB will be updated.and what if there is power cut of around 16-18 hrs
Nothing happened till now.waiting for confirmation from Nivin bhai....kept stb on through out yesterday

Still STBs didn't get updates .
no bhai....may be they fooled us or any other technical problem must be occurred....
