taxes are increased from 10.3 % to 14.5 % but package prices have already been increased upto 50-60 %

simple, i paid rs.410 platinum HD in 2013 and now it is rs.610 with new channels, taxes so it is 51% and also mind double entertainment taxes in some states,bharat cleaning charge and so on.

also the taxes that were increased only by .05% which means on 100 rs. only 50 paise was increased.

so on ur 410 rs. only 2 rs. was increased which makes it to 412 rs. then y it is 610 rs. now ?

I said taxes plus channel additions, read that too. UP and Maharashtra got double ent tax, if I am not wrong. So the more channels the huge package prices.

if the channels won't come or won't be added, then also prices will be increased bcoz of the inflation factor.
but the main problem is the prices that were increased have been more than the inflation itself.
u can check the last two years' prices.

How is inflation tagged to entertainment. Please help us understand
