Update Sony network channels removing from base pack

they will continue to do so unless and until they renew their contracts with ALL MAJOR broadcasters because they are the oldest DTH and at the time of 2004 they signed the contracts with all broadcasters pretty cheaply which is not feasible/profitable for broadcasters anymore so they are fighting with broadcasters to crack the deal at a cheap rate from others in the market . very CHEAP tactics from Dishtv but for them it works so all this drama , calm down and wait 4-6 months all the channels will be back , they did the same to work out the deal with star

another thing is that they want to launch ZING DIGITAL for Gujarat , and without indiacat they can't do that , hence settled with Indiacast and they also could NOT leave without fighting with a broadcaster so now is the turn of MSM

Future is a-la-carte bro.Hathway Hyderabad blocked almost 10-20 SD channels and every channel price is 10rs each.it will implement for all DTH and Digital TV.we have to pay separately for each channel.

So in that case it would be impossible for middle class families to stay in tune with DTH or cable.

A-la-carte is okay, but price they put for Indiacast HD channels are way too much. Hope they won't do like that.

So they are making way for Indiacast channels to be added on base packs by removing the MSM channels

Theory of removal would be, SONY HD, SONY PIX HD, SONY SIX HD, SONY MAX 2, SONY PIX, AXN rest may available as On Request. Base Pack Price will also increase by the addition of Indiacast UTV channels.

Last year they start this with Indiacast almost year later they sought out with 3 Major Distributor. But I condemned this as its a removal from dishtv and One Alliance is not who wants to fight with Operators.

AXN HD surely will come in Dish TV when it will launch there is no other thought but I think it will available as ala-carte.

For SONY launching of any HD channel is now distance dream they lost a Platform which can easily afford any HD channel and now accept d2h no other DTH is in any position to except HD channel unless SONY don't pay a whoopy carriage fee.
