Except Sports channels margin of other channels are very less. STAR / FIC used to fight with dishtv only for their Sports channels rest they have kept providing their exclusive HD channels even when dishtv decides to remove STAR channels from the base pack STAR ready for everything.

dishtv down and out from the market because of non availability of sports channels. If they didn't add SONY PAL it won't affect them its only affect SONY. Today margin of broadcasting business is so less that even big groups are struggling to sell their channels. ZEE used to kept exclusive their groups lots of channels only for dishtv but after dishtv start struggling they start selling channels like ZEE Movies channels which were exclusive to dishtv for a long time even ZEE KK and ZEE Q.

TRAI's rule is that channels from the broadcasters shouldn't be exclusive to a DTH platform and hence now it is made available to all platforms. It is valid point that channels are struggling nowdays with 12 min ad cap too.

1.agree sports channels are most dependable channels and they will give revenues to DTHs and broadcasters But one thing we exactly dont know the margin about these channels.if any DTH charging big amount they have to pay big amount to broadcasters also and broadcasters investing big amount for rights.but we exactly don't know about the margin whether sports channels will give more or any GEC or movies channels.but my personal opinion soprts channels never give big margins to DTHs. might be they will give to broadcasters.
2.don't bring Zee tv business in to Dish TV business.both are different and they have different strategies to implement to grow their business.how many days dish TV took for own Zee HD channels?? That time dish TV thought Zee HD channels price was too high to keep in Dish TV platform.After so many requests of customers they brought Zee HD channels.

Bro their owner is having tough times. Two days back only chargesheet has been registered in Maxis deal. So, bad days are about to come for them.

They don't sign contract for each and every channel. They make contract for bouquet bro which includes upcoming channels too.

12 minute ad cap :mad: last night Movies Now HD was showing 8 minutes of advt and in every 20-30 minutes.
