Today morning I just see the news. When N.P.Singh, CEO of SPNI, has been asked by The Economic Times reporter about their expand portfolio & business strategy, He replies that they plan to launch minimum one regional channel within this year, but he does not expose about the new upcoming channel anything else.

According to N.P.Singh, "Three and a half years ago we had 11 channels, today we have 29. In the last three years, we have grown the network, entered new genres and have consolidated the presence in our older genres. In Hindi GEC, we had SET and SAB and we also have PAL, which is the No. 1 GEC in urban, rural combined.
In movies, we had MAX, now we also have MAX 2, MAX HD and WAH. We have entered newer areas with our kids’ channel Sony YAY! and Sony BBC Earth. Right now, we have a small presence in regional markets: through Sony Aath in Bengali. What I can tell you is that within a year we will announce the launch of at least one more mainstream regional channel".
