Here's the thing. We are still living in the past. Our cartoons are either outdated like Shin Chan and Doraemon which Disney and hungama keeps re airing which was aired in the 90s in Japan or something that is related to mythology like Bheem and Krishna. Like seriously? Animation is not meant for kids alone and this is what most Indian TV channels fail to understand. Simpsons,South Park are 2 examples which definitely isn't kid friendly. Do we have even a single suitable channel for animated series here? No. They instead have totally destroyed the genre by targeting only the kids under 14. After that you are supposed to grow up and watch news. It is no joke.
Remember a decade back they had Goosebumps and Are you afraid of the dark and many other horror TV series which were so violent that now they don't air on any of the channels. Sonic was showing some good content in the beginning and they too failed miserably in the end. I'm not saying Animax is the best but at least give something so that adults too can enjoy. In fact Scooby doo doesn't air in India anymore which they may deem as scary for today's generation.
