HELP Specials Channels Free for Old Annual Mega Plan Subscribers

Hello everyone

I read somewhere that old Tata Sky Annual Mega plan subscriber will get Star World Premiere HD and future Specials channels free of cost.

I'm an Annual Mega plan subscriber since 4 years and I was thinking that I have got Star World Premiere HD free but today I noticed that Tata Sky deducted 61rs. from my account balance for October month subscription of this channel.

Is this fair? Is there any official announcement by Tata Sky that old Annual Mega plan subscribers will get these Specials channels free? So that I can contact Tata Sky regarding my money back.

If your date of subscription is before feb of this year then you will get it free.otherwise they will charge you

With regards to Star World HD premier pack, we understand and appreciate your concern. However, please allow us to explain the reason.

Firstly, may i take this opportunity to inform you that Star World Premiere HD is the first channel launched under the category of Tata Sky “Specials”. This is a first in the industry as well as for Tata Sky customers. With this Channel, you will be able to watch the latest bigger shows at the same time as American Subscribers. As a premium special service, it is the only channel that has 26 new and returning shows. We do plan to add more premium services like this in the near future.

Furthermore, our Annual subscription proposition had recently been revised. Our valued subscribers were accordingly informed that going forward this subscription package will EXCLUDE any “ Specials”. In other words, Premium Special channels like “Star World HD premier” will require a separate subscription. This was applicable to all the renewals post February 2013.

However, since your subscription has not been renewed in the above period, we understand that that you would not have received the above communication.. Therefore, given that you are a premium subscriber, as a special case we are happy to extend the subscription of this SPECIAL to you on a complimentary basis TILL YOUR CURRENT ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTION GETS OVER on 15/12/2013.

It would be better if they introduce Mega Packs which does not have actve services (I feel its forced onto for most of the subscribers) , and it includes what they call Specials, in similar prices to current mega packs.

You mean to say old mega plan subscribers who renewed their plans before Feb 2013 will get Specials channel free until their current subscription expires only? It means no one will get these Specials channels free forever. Right?

I renewed my last subscription in Feb 2013.
