Bro. dishtv wants to sign package deal only but they want concession for SD channels when they didn't get such hopes from STAR they simply put them into a ala carte like Indiacast if they not able to settle things for SD channels they simply screws HD channels.

Dish TV or any other operators can deal with broadcaster in two ways.

1. Fixed fee which both parties prefer
2. Fee as per CPS system when fixed fee deal doesn't work

In April, Hathway and Star Sports didn't agreed on fixed fee deal and when Star threatened to pull signals, Hathway took the matter to TDSAT and later both settled on CPS system.

So, why didn't Dish TV went ahead like this ?

Bro. its not like that with Hathway I guess you may read the article which were published on March I think where CEO or MD talking about the strategy to get revenues from Cricket they wants to launch India Cricket system just like dishtv, they removed all STAR SPORTS channels from the Base Pack before WC T20 despite of having Package Deal together, they asked to subscribers to pay more actually all this start when STAR moved to TDSAT against Hathway and claimed the whoopy Rs. 9 crore so Hathway having this grutch and also you definitely you saw Ad by STAR SPORTS against Hathway.

Problem is that if STAR SPORTS don't gets the desired amount they continues the dispute and didn't settles the think. With dishtv things are like that dishtv not agrees with the desire amount of STAR and STAR don't middle things.

So, what i conclude is in Hathway case they settled down on CPS where as Dish TV took that in ego and decided not to settle and i must say that was a wise decision.

Things with dishtv is worst because STAR used to screws ZEE on the matter of Cricket rights and ZEE consider STAR a egomanic network so they won't lived on fear also market strategy with dishtv is very different they don't care how much subscribers they're getting just do our job and implement their plan you can say ZEE also carries such ego tats a reason 2 years completed and fearlessly they're doing businesses without settling things with sports caster and look Hathway were they fall into a knees of them within a months time.

Here one important things which must be noticed is, Star laywers countered Hathway allegations saying that Hathway has already agreed to CPS deal for Sports channel then why is he asking for fixed fee deal and put his points forward to TDSAT to order Hathway follow CPS system as per previous settlement and this was a strong point. So, TDSAT ordered Hathway to opt CPS system for GEC and i am sure same is going to happen with HD channels too.

That's why i am saying that Zee did a good thing not to settle things and kept their ego high else they too would be having same fate which Hathway have today.

On behalf of Star, it is contended that since Hathway had agreed to take its sports channels on RIO terms, it must also take its general entertainment channels on the rate and terms as fixed under its RIO.

It may be noted here that in April 2014, Star has issued a consolidated RIO covering both sports and general entertainment channels. It is its stand, therefore, that like the sports channels, Hathway must also take its general entertainment channels on RIO terms in all the regions where Hathway is operating. Mrs. Pratibha M. Singh, senior advocate appearing for Star forcefully argued that Hathway cannot be permitted to indulge in duality and take some of Star’s channels on RIO terms and some other channels on negotiated terms; again Hathway cannot take the same channels in different parts of the country on different terms. It must take all the channels of Star, both sports and of general entertainment, in all parts of the country, on the same terms and since it had earlier expressed the inclination to take the sports channels on RIO terms, it should also be made to take the general entertainment channels on the same terms.

How do you think TEN NETWORK is so gaya bita Bro. if they having rights of WWE and if you like then you will tune TEN SPORTS not STAR SPORTS same applying with CWG games. TEN needs not to promote anything they're the second biggest network after STAR so such theories are stupid. IndianMascot Bhai STAR is forcing Hathway either to take everything under RIO or entered CPS tats reason I understand why dishtv removes STAR / FIC channels in the base pack and readded back within a week they must wants to know the impact on their customers so dishtv having only 2 option either everything in ala carte or must entered on STAR's deal
