Post Star exit, Star CJ Alive to be renamed Shop CJ
Star CJ Alive, India’s first home shopping channel, is all set to be rechristened ‘Shop CJ’ following the change in ownership last year that saw the exit of Star India from the 50:50 joint venture with South Korean home shopping major CJ O Shopping. The name of the company has also changed to Shop CJ Network, which is now half-owned by P5 Asia Holding Investments (Mauritius), belonging to the Providence Equity Partners group, besides CJ O Shopping. The company was earlier known as Star CJ India Network. Shop CJ Network will launch a multi-media campaign to announce the rebranding of the channel. It also operates a web-based portal shopcj.com.
