Yes mpeg2 gives better quality than mpeg4 but ts doing over compression on channels so i am saying that now they can give more good quality

I think MPEG 2 Or MPEG 4 doesn't effect on PQ. It is only compression method. MPEG 4 means more space. Thats it.

Mpeg2 & Mpeg4 have not big difference in PQ but bit rate of mpeg4 is higher then mpeg2 so lower bit rate makes mpeg2 PQ little finer then mpeg4.

In a 4 seat car we can comfort more that a 10 seat jeep but if we want 6 to 7 people carry in a car, no one feel comfort, but in other hand we can comforabl to carry 9 to people. Same logic for mpeg2. It gives better quality but not quantity. And we know petrol price is on sky.
