21st Century Fox-owned Star India has bagged the title sponsorship rights of Team India. The sponsorship deal will commence from 1 January 2014 and will end on 31 March 2017.

The incumbent holder, Sahara India Financial Corporation, had also bid but it was found to be ineligible. In July 2010, Sahara had agreed to fork out Rs. 3.34 crore ( Rs. 33.4 million) per match as the team sponsor.

The team sponsorship rights cover BCCI, ICC and ACC events for the period 1 January 2014 to 31 March 2017. Rights include the right to be called the “Official Team Sponsor,” and to display a commercial logo on the team clothing of the senior Men’s Cricket Team, the U-19 Men’s Cricket Team, the Men’s A-Team and the Women’s Team.

Undoubtedly a big chunk of amount. That's the reason Sharad Pawar is growing day by day. Yesterday it was Sahara, today its Star , tomorrow there will be someone else.

Only bunch of peoples who gonna benefitted are politicians.
