I think dishtv is blackmailing STAR / FIC to crack the right deal and before signing they just removed all channels to show our power as dishtv and STAR knows they need each other, STAR is the backbone of dishtv's package and dishtv is the backbone of STAR's income I think all this happening also to get STAR SPORTS channels in the kitty any how. Also dishtv not removing STAR / FIC channels from immediate effect so they know what is the status of subscribers payment sheet. So things are little bit tricky here and only you can get the right info and couple of question to crack:

It could be the reason. They are giving harsh time to Customers and Star. With such customer base, the loss will be huge for Star. For eg, customers like me will never go for other Star channels expect, Star Movies Action. So even if some customers subscribed, still they will have huge loss in their subscription revenue. Let's see what will happen and how it's going to affect dish, star and customers.

One thing is clear, now they will settle with Indiacast as they have new rival Star/FIC. As Entertainment bro said, i'm hoping for the best to add Indiacast HD channels on base pack.

Dish TV action suggest that 1st round of talk would have felt and what we are seeing is consequences of these.

Generally there are many rounds of talk as these deals are of millions.

So, I am sure before the previous deal expires, Dish and Star would land to some conclusion and we may see all these channels back.
