There needs to be some quality Hindi language series. All these Hindi general entertainment channels have been showing too much of nonsense content made especially for females. Both Hindi movie industry and TV industry are messed up beyond imagination! People continue watching nonsense in the name of entertainment and it is mindboggling!

Newton was supposed to be the finest movie from India in 2017 and was even sent to the Oscars, but it hasn't got nominated. Hundreds or even thousands of movies are made every year in India and none of them win any prestigious international accolade.

I have stopped watching Hindi movies for quite some time now. Because we still have Tiger Zinda Hai thing going on in 2018!

Well, though I can agree with you on most of what you said, I must also bring forth the point that there has been practical cinema as well. Padman, Toilet Ek Premkatha, Shubhmangal Savdhan are a few movies I liked a lot for the message they shared. Yes, they too had the cinematic buffoonery.
