Star Sports 2 is a new channel. So all dth and MSOs have to make a fresh deal to acquire this channel. As Tata Sky will debut this channel, sports friendly DTH operator d2h and MSO Hathaway, Den, etc will also negotiate and add this channel soon after its launch.

Only 3 days remaining for its launch. So everything will be clarified soon. After it's launch ESPN shut down will continue gradually.

isn't ESPN to be there along with other Star sports?

Nope now either there will be star or fox.

But ESPN will take time to shut down because some dth operators have deal and star will wait for it to expire.

what i read is the comp is pending nod from ministry regarding ESS deal and then would decide whether to retain the name or rename it.

I watched channel 100 at that time but nothing was there about Star Sports 2
