I don't believe in today's world people opt 4K boxes just to show off or to present to guest with gesture.
We go by technology and best hardware suit.We've seen how Black & White TVs era has transformed to LCD & LEDs and so as SD to HD channels

And I don't understand why people compare 3D with 4K UHD.4K is just advance version of 4*HD and it will catter HEVC compression technology.
3D u can have occasionally thats why it's not so much popular wheras 4K is the need of time.

I guaranty people who are criticizing 4K tech adoption in terms of H/W & services soon will start parsing it once 4K Tv prices fall down just like it happened with LCD & LED which common men in early days thought out of imagination.

4K and UHD technologies are not same.UHD TVs having more resolution than 4K.
